Dash Cam frequent questions

What is Loop recording?

When Loop recording( or Cyclic recording) is set to OFF, recordings will be stored on your Dah Cam until the Memory card is full. If you enable Loop recording, it will keep it going and record new footages in a loop while erasing over earlier recordings continuously. In most cases, you will be able to set it to make footages in small, handy size files.

What happens if I enable Motion detection option?

This option means each time Dash Cam detects motion in front of your vehicle, the Dash Cam will start recording and save a video clip of what happens around the car.

G-SENSOR

It is sometimes called “Shock sensor” as well. When an impact occurs, it will automatically save the video event. In most cases you will be able to select the level of sensitivity for the device, low setting ensures the system reacts only to greater shocks, whereas the high selection makes the system more sensitive.

 

What should I choose for my RESOLUTION settings?

It is almost always the best to choose the highest selection among the offered ones as it will ensure clear video and help capture fine details of the surrounding. However, this might depend on your personal preferences and needs.

What happens when I change EV- EXPOSURE?

This option changes how dark or bright your video is going to be- + values will make it brighter and - values will make it darker.

Are Dash Cams battery operated and how are they recharged?

Dash Cams have a small built-in memory whose purpose is back up and saving data only, it will also ensure the recording is saved even after an accident. It will come with a power cord that gets plugged into 12V cigarette lighter receptacle and provides power to the Dash Cam while your car is in the ignition and running.

 

Do I need a memory card for my Dash Cam?

Dash Cams do not have free storage space, hence memory card is necessary to make it up and running. We highly recommend using a class 10, 32GB max SDHC card.

WDR and HDR Options

This is an option that will adjust too dark or too bright areas in the footage (such as sunshine reflection from windows or windshields, shadows, nighttime...). It will neutralize it and find perfect exposure balance to have a perfectly clear image as a final result.

PLATE STAMP/DATE STAMP ADJUSTMENT

Plate stamp is a place where you can enter your license plate number, name, or Dash Cam name. The date stamp option set will ensure the date is displayed on the footages or photos.
